My life mission is to Love, Lead, and leave a Legacy. These thoughts are mine as I work through how to live into that mission.

Salad for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Recently I have been eating salad for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My wife was incredulous the first this happened. My kids think I am crazy. But I keep munching. There is a very good reason that I don't mind all the salad.
We are part of a CSA, (community supported agriculture), and so we receive every week a share of whatever the farmer was able to grow. So right now the cool greens are growing well, and we have a refrigerator full of every kind of lettuce you can imagine. Either we eat a LOT of salad, or we waste a lot.
The reason I don't mind eating a lot of salad is that I have learned to accept what God brings my way and make the most of it. We are so used to dictating what happens in our lives that we are no longer able to enjoy what God brings our way unexpectedly.
Just like the seasons with vegetables, our walk with God has seasons. The different things God brings us help us to grow into the person he knows we can become in Him. When we accept the seasons that God brings us and allow Him to work, we are in the right place at the right time.
So when life gives you lettuce, enjoy the salad. And remember tomato season is coming.
